Caption "Arbeit Macht Frei" that translates as "Work Brings Freedom" was the sign over the gates of Auschwitz. This sculpture could be an illustration of the extermination mechanism used at Auschwitz-Birkenau illustrated in "Anatomy of the Auschwitz Death Camp" published by Indiana University Press.

Abu Nabut Park is on Derech Ben Tsvi between Shlabin and Hertxel Streets. There are 15 of Tumarkin's sculptures there now. Two are unfortunately missing.
